Shipping Clerk in Machine Shop Environment

MMT - Glebar is in an expansion mode and is looking for a Shipping and Receiving/Warehouse Clerk to support our warehouse of custom manufactured machinery and components. This position will report to the Warehouse Manager.

Overview:

Supports Assembly and Warehouse teams in receiving and distributing parts and materials in a timely manner. Picks, Packs and Ships various components via small package (FedEx/UPS/DHL) and freight carriers to customer locations worldwide.

Duties:

•\tPacking, labeling, and distribution of parts, products to/from internal and external sources

•\tKnowledge of domestic and international shipping standards and documentation

•\tGenerate shipping documents and labels via our ERP system through UPS/FedEx software and other web platforms.

•\tMaintaining appropriate records and reporting/investigating issues and disparities

•\tProvide weights and dimensions to support staff if needed and obtain freight quotes, if necessary

•\tInteract with multiple departments within the organization on a daily basis.

•\tFollow all safety protocols and warehouse procedures.

•\tMaintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment.

•\tReview pick lists, determine product availability, verify shipment information prior to processing, accurately process order within ERP system.

•\tAssist in receiving, storing, issuing, and delivery of equipment, tools and supplies: inventory control, inventory review, stock counts and all required recordkeeping

•\tVerify accuracy of incoming shipments by weighing, counting, and/or measuring items and comparing size, weight, descriptions/code numbers with information on invoice, packing slip or purchase order.

•\tWrap and label products clearly and accurately.

•\tOpen crates or other containers using hand tools to unpack items received. Inspect shipments for damage and defects.

•\tMove inventory to various locations within the warehouse manually and by utilizing various mechanical equipment (forklifts, manual and electric pallet jacks, carts and hand trucks)

•\tOn occasion, will be required to drive company vehicle to transport supplies and materials to/from other local sites or locations as instructed.

•\tPack mixed merchandise securely to ensure safe arrival of goods. Utilize appropriate packing materials and fabricate custom cartons or containers when necessary.

•\tKitting and picking components for assemblies and machine builds.

•\tAbility to start and stop multiple tasks, and ensure tasks are completed accurately, while working in a fast-paced environment.

•\tEnsure critical orders are processed and packed in time for daily pickup.

•\tPerform duties as assigned

•\tCross train in other areas and train co-workers as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

•\tHigh school diploma or equivalent

•\tAbility to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.

•\tAbility to bend, squat, reach, and climb rolling ladder with ease

•\tAbility to grasp, and lift small to large items

•\tExperience with UPS/FedEx Software and/or web platforms.

•\tExperience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams a plus

•\tValid Driver’s License

•\tExperience with forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
