Job Description
As a Shipping Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain. You will create purchase orders, collaborate with our global supply chain team, and manage the import process to ensure timely delivery. Your attention to detail and ability to work with various logistics partners will be essential in maintaining accurate records and solving any challenges that arise.
ResponsibilitiesCreate purchase orders in the company ERP system (NetSuite).Collaborate with the global supply chain team to ensure orders are produced and delivered on time to support regional sales activities.Track ocean containers to their final destinations and communicate with our customer service team on pending challenges.Work with local import brokers to ensure containers clear customs in a timely fashion, duty fees are paid, and invoices are correctly recorded.Review shipping documents for accuracy.Work with customs brokers, freight forwarders, ocean lines, rail, port, inland carriers, and warehouse personnel to ensure containers move smoothly from origin to destination.Participate in annual physical inventory counts at assigned warehouses.Manage relationships with domestic third-party activated carbon vendors in the U.S.Support the Customer Experience Director with various projects as needed.Essential SkillsFreight forwarding experience.Importing experience.International logistics experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Strong organizational and time management skills.Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent supply chain experience (preferred).Experience with ocean imports (highly preferred).Ability to analyze and make recommendations to effectively solve problems using industry standards, best practices, policies, procedures, regulations, or government laws.Willingness to travel a few times per year to perform physical inventory counts and meetings.Collaborative team player mindset with the ability to work in a matrix organization.Action-oriented self-starter who is able and willing to challenge the status quo.Proficiency with MS Office products.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Conshohocken, Pennsylvania.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
