**Job Description**
Performs various shipping duties accurately and efficiently to help meet and exceed on time shipping, shipping accuracy and shipping efficiency goals.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Processes orders producing all necessary packing slips, shipping labels, package identification labels, and documentation as required by customer, order type, and shipping method.
+ Schedules pickups when necessary, including full truck, LTL, and parcel pickups providing all necessary shipping documentation, communicating delivery details to the customer when required and logging relevant information.
+ Uses UPS Worldship to ship product and create labels for parcel shipping. Uses Penske Portal to schedule FTL and LTL shipments.
+ Picking orders, stacking product on pallets, wrapping pallets, applying shipping labels, loading trucks, kitting, pick zone replenishment process and inventory cycle counting process as time permits.
+ Works to ensure we are using the most cost-effective option available for shipping.
+ Files freight claims when damage to shipments occur.
+ Follows all company protocols, attendance policies, HR requirements and safety procedures and is an example to coworkers
+ Maintains a safe, clean working environment.
+ Compile information to complete Daily Shipping Summary Report using excel and email
+ Work with Logistics for carrier changes and troubleshooting problems
+ Complete all special orders as requested
+ Monitor and document inventory discrepancies (units miss-shipped/labeled, returned, or damaged)
+ Complete Non-Production Work Orders for whole goods
+ Ability to fill in for Material Handlers as necessary
+ Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
+ Ability to operate a forklift and a powered pallet jack
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ High School Diploma or GED Required; 2 years college preferred
+ 1-2 years of office practice and personal computer training or 1-2 years of previous experience in these areas
+ Computer skills (AS400, Excel, Word, Showcase, Outlook, Sharepoint)
+ Communication skills – ability to communicate and work well with others
+ Accuracy-minded and detail-oriented
+ Must be able to prioritize workload
+ Must be able to operate a forklift (inside and outside the work environment)
+ Must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, work overtime with little or no notice
+ Shipping experience helpful
This job requires you to lift up to 40 lbs, bend, twist, turn, kneel, squat, reach overhead, perform strong pinch and grip, push-pull up to 100 lbs, and stand/walk up to 10 hours per day
**PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:**
+ Frequent heavy and demanding physical labor.
+ Must be able to perform constant repetitive motion.
**WORK ENVIRONMENT:**
+ A large percentage of work time is spent in a production warehouse where temperatures range from warm to cool and noise level can be moderate to high.
**The pay range for this position in Washington State is $20.35 to $24.90** **Individual pay within those ranges is determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.**
**Base Pay Range:**
$20.35 - $24.90
