**Packaging Company Urgently Searching for Shipping and Receiving Clerk in Boonton, NJ** **Please apply today and can start within the same week!** **Position** **:** Shipping/Receiving Clerk **Pay** **:** $18/hour ; $27.00/hour **Location** **:** Boonton, New Jersey **Shift** **:** 8:30am-5pm (Monday-Friday) **Job Description** We are seeking a diligent and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to manage and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing items for shipment, which includes assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or materials. This role requires comparing identifying information with counts, weights, or other measurements of outgoing shipments to verify quantities against bills of lading, invoices, and orders. **Responsibilities** + Prepare items for shipment by assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or materials. + Compare identifying information with counts, weights, or other measurements of outgoing shipments to verify quantities against bills of lading, invoices, and orders. + Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped. + Generate shipping labels for shipments and calculate shipping rates for foreign orders. + Calculate, pack, and weigh orders. + Deliver or route materials to departments using hand trucks, conveyors, or sorting bins. + Load shipments to carriers and prepare materials for shipping by packing, sealing, labeling, or affixing postage using hand tools, power tools, or postage meters. + Maintain accurate shipping records and determine the method of shipping by utilizing knowledge of procedures. **Essential Skills** + Experience in shipping and receiving, packaging, packing, picking, and material handling. + Strong inventory management skills. + Ability to compare identifying information with counts, weights, or other measurements. + Knowledge of shipping methods, routes, and rates. + Proficiency in generating shipping labels and calculating shipping rates. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma or general education degree (GED). **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
