2nd Shift Shipping Clerk

Job Description

A distribution company that manufactures automotive parts is seeking a long-term shipping clerk/warehouse worker. The position involves working on the 2nd shift from 2 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with mandatory overtime up to 2 hours daily and occasional Saturdays. The role requires utilizing stairs and RF scanners.

ResponsibilitiesReceive and restock inventory, dispatch, and overstockLoad and unload materials from trucksBreak down boxes and package items for shipmentUse order rolling stairs, pickers, and RF scanners to fulfill ordersAssist Warehouse Supervisors as neededPackage items for shipmentPick orders utilizing stairs to reach materials for the automotive industry (rolling stairs may range from 7-15 steps long)Essential SkillsExperience with picking, packing, and packagingProficiency with RF scannersAbility to operate pallet jacksExperience with shipping and receivingCapability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 poundsComfortable utilizing rolling safety ladders (5-7 steps and occasionally 15 ft stair ladders)Ability to speak, read, and write EnglishAble to stand, walk, sit, push, pull, and reach with hands and armsOccasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or squatSelf-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environmentAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentPrevious warehouse or shipping clerk experience is a plusWhy Work Here?

Once hired directly, employees receive a $0.50 increase in pay and training on forklift operations, which can lead to an additional dollar increase. The company offers medical, dental, and vision benefits.

Work Environment

The work environment is usually loud due to forklifts and other machinery operating in the facility. The dress code requires plain shirts, jeans without holes, and closed-toed shoes. The shift hours are from 2 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with mandatory overtime up to 2 hours daily and occasional Saturdays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brea, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
