Your Responsibilities

 

As a Shipping Coordinator for John Deere North American Parts Distribution Center located in Milan, IL, you will determine, coordinate, and transact shipments to export customers and/or freight forwarders. In addition, you will: 

 

Assign priorities to daily shipping activities and give work direction to carriers, freight forwarders, production personnel and logistics staff. Notify customer support about the status of export orders and the shipment date. Prepare  shipment identifiers and shipping documents for freight companies.

Good interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work effectively under time constraints. 1 year work experience in a team environment. Ability to work flexible shifts, over time and weekends based on business needs. What Makes You Stand Out

 

Knowledge of export guidelines, processes, and operations.  Have a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge. Education

 

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related worked experience in the following:

 

Degree in Business/Management discipline or equivalent related worked experience
