Job Description
The Shipping Coordinator oversees daily shipping activities, coordinates with warehouse management, supervises personnel, reports productivity data, and maintains material control and inventory. Additionally, the role involves planning and scheduling all shipments.
ResponsibilitiesSupervise assigned personnel to ensure efficient workflow.Create shipments as projects are released, selecting tickets to meet customer requirements.Enter shipment data into computer and customer databases.Print and maintain all required shipping paperwork.Maintain accurate materials inventory.Communicate shipping updates to Project Management and upper management.Update the finished goods spreadsheet and attend related meetings.Reconcile previous day’s shipments and send paperwork to contacts.Keep accurate records of shipping papers and pallets.Act as the main contact for customers and carriers.Coordinate with Procurement and vendors on returns.Schedule shipments with carriers.Essential SkillsExtensive shipping experience and logistics knowledge.Proficiency with portals and navigation programs.Strong email communication skills.Proficient in scanner operation.Experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, inventory management, and forklift operation.Customer service skills.Work Site
This is a fully on-site position located in Lakewood, New Jersey.
Pay & ShiftShifts Available:1st Shift: 7am to 3:30pm, Monday to FridayCompensation: $19.50 - $20.50 per hour, paid weeklyContract to Hire: With benefits offered, including medical, dental, vision, and a 401k planPay and Benefits
