Shipping Coordinator
Adecco is currently seeking a Shipping Coordinator for a temp-to-hire opportunity with our local client in Carlsbad, California. Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, fulfillment, or production environment is a plus. Apply now for immediate consideration! **Responsibilities for the Shipping Coordinator position include:** + Packing, wrapping, and crating items for shipment, following company regulations, practices, and written instructions. + Verifying shipment details such as quantities, part numbers, and serial numbers. Ensuring the inclusion of appropriate operating manuals, literature, and peripheral equipment. + Determining the appropriate carrier and shipping route when required, and scheduling pick-ups. + Preparing and maintaining records of materials shipped, and returning rejected materials to vendors as directed by purchasing or project managers. + Making customer deliveries as needed, with a clean driving record. + Managing shipping documents such as shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, and orders to prioritize shipments. + Handling electronic component parts and lifting bulk supplies and materials up to 50 pounds. + Knowledge of UPS, FedEx, and LTL Freight required. + Maintaining finished goods inventory and conducting daily audits. + Understanding policies, procedures, and departmental objectives to apply knowledge in decision-making. **Education & Qualifications:** + High school diploma or GED. + 3+ years of experience preferred. + Strong oral and written communication skills. + Forklift certification is a plus. + Previous experience with an ERP system preferred. + IATA certification is a plus, but not required. + Excellent communication, organizational, and troubleshooting skills. **Compensation & Schedule:** + Starting pay rate: $20–21 per hour, with overtime as needed. + Shift: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM–1:30 PM. **Pay Details:** $20.00 to $21.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
