Four Hands is one of the largest home furnishing distributors in Austin, TX. We operate out of seven locations with nearly 1,000,000 sqft of warehouse space. A role in our distribution center means being in the heart of getting products to our customers as quickly as possible.
As a Shipping Coordinator at Four Hands, you'll play a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly. Working closely with the Traffic Lead, you'll help ensure on-time shipments, optimize freight processes, and manage critical shipping documentation. Shift: 10am - 7pm
In This Role\nSupport the Traffic Lead with day-to-day traffic duties including service-level agreements, transit times, carrier score cards, freight invoices, negotiating freight rates, etc. \nAssist the Traffic Lead with daily, weekly and monthly reporting\nCreate shipping documentation including bills of lading, shipping labels, and export paperwork (NAFTA Certificates)\nCoordinate routing of outgoing shipments through various customers and their logistics teams\nSchedule transportation of shipments by working closely with the Traffic Lead to insure on-time shipments\nRoute and maintain truck schedules\nMaintain shipment files and internal customer inquiries regarding the status of shipments\nReport goals, operational procedures, objectives, and position responsibilities to shipping and traffic associates\nWork closely with Sales and Operations Departments to insure transactional accuracy\nSupervise accurate order, shipment, and export details to Customer Service\nOther duties as assigned by Management\nUphold our Core Values and be a valuable member of the Four Hands team: \nBe open and honest \nReach for excellence \nAct with responsibility \nValue the whole person \nEnjoy the journey\n\n\n
The Ideal Person\n2+ years of warehouse or distribution center experience\nHigh school diploma or GED required\nProficient in Microsoft Office and Excel\nPassionate advocate for continuous improvement and customer service\nSelf-directed individual who is able to work and stay organized with multiple responsibilities\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nWilling and able to work overtime as needed\nSteel-toed boots or shoes are required during work hours\n
