Job Summary
The Shipping Lead guides the shipping workforce and processes to ensure safe and efficient handling of OES products and materials. They are responsible for leading a shipping team to work injury-free/incident free in a manufacturing environment. They will provide leadership and direction for their team in a way that motivates them to meet all productivity, safety, and quality goals. They are driven to continually improve performance and embrace changes that will help both your team and company meet goals related to shipments both incoming and outgoing, including storing and distributing all deliveries. This will be a 2nd shift position, Monday - Friday from 2pm-10:30pm.
Job Responsibilities
Load and/or unload trucks Create Bills of Lading for outgoing shipments Uses the Open Order Report in NetSuite to generate pick tickets to plan shipments Assigns Shipping employees to pick tickets Communicates with trucking companies to schedule pick-up and delivery Assists with pulling orders, including locating, transporting and verifying the appropriate product number and amount according to pick ticket, and scanning product from staging to finished goods Maintain organization of the shipping and receiving docks Ensure effective communication across all shifts Other responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent Strong communication and interpersonal skills Strong planning and analytical skills, detail-oriented Computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems (NetSuite a plus) Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. periodically throughout the day
