How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Shipping/Receiving Lead, you will be responsible for, overseeing, monitoring, and coordinating all shipping activities. Picking, packing, and processing shipments with precision. Executing general warehouse duties, including receiving inventory, stock put-away, pulling work orders, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. In this critical role, you will ensure the seamless operation of our logistics processes, thereby contributing to the overall success and efficiency of our team.

 

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:

Administrative Duties Perform daily sales order (s/o) audits. Maintain shipping logs. Handle shipping claims. Order shipping supplies. Train and supervise direct reports. Provide shipping status updates and freight quotes as required via email.

 

Shipping Operations and Management:  Ensure best shipping practices and standard procedures are being followed. Delegate tasks within the team to ensure high-quality, on-time shipping. Process domestic and international shipments using carriers such as UPS, FedEx, DHL, and LTL Freight.

 

3.  Warehouse Responsibilities: 

Pick and pack orders for shipping, including the assembly of crates. Perform general warehouse duties as required.

 

 

What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)

We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:

Required Experience

Minimum of 2 years shipping/receiving/warehouse experience. Good written and verbal communication skills to communicate with internal and external clients. Must be organized and able to multi-task.

 

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Forklift Certification Bachelor’s degree 2+ years of experience in a material, supply chain or logistics position 2+ years of experience with shipping / UPS / Fed EX / DHL / LTL freight 2+ years of experience initiating / managing / closing out shipping claims 2+ years of experience with processing international shipments, including generating commercial invoices and filling out USMCA certificate of origin forms Certified in IATA and DOT Dangerous Goods shipping

 

Education & Certifications

High School Diploma required.

 

Travel & Working Environment

Warehouse environment. 5 days a week on-site at Orlando location. Schedule varies between 8 AM to 6 PM. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stand, talk or hear; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls. The employee is regularly required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without lift assist. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
