Shipping Lead
Well-known and respected client is looking for a Shipping Leader! Shipping Leader The Shipping Leader will be responsible for managing the shipping system at the distribution center, ensuring efficient handling of receipts and prioritizing the most important orders. This position requires bilingual skills in English and Spanish to ensure effective communication with internal and external teams. Responsibilities: • Organize and distribute workload to maximize results. • Monitor productivity metrics for the designated area. • Provide training, tools, and necessary support to direct reports. • Ensure customers are scheduled and shipped correctly by the warehouse. • Create, control, and maintain procedures and program requirements to take appropriate action and comply with requirements. Collaborate with other internal departments to gather all relevant information and training as needed. • Serve as the primary contact for all functionality regarding warehouse requirements. • Write and facilitate the creation and upkeep of work instructions for all customers and processes in the warehouse. • Hold daily communication meetings with the team. • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members, ensuring focus on Leadership Action Plans, and help set goals if needed. • Prioritize orders based on urgency and importance, ensuring key products are processed and shipped on time. • Be responsible for assigned teams in the areas of operations, safety, continuous improvement, and professional development. Directly supervise assigned floor-level team members. • Ensure quality standards are followed for assigned production lines. • Ensure compliance with all divisional and plant safety policies and procedures. • Ensure product is produced and delivered on time and that assigned lines receive materials on time. • Troubleshoot and minimize downtime issues on the line as they arise. • Coordinate with supervisors from various departments, such as materials, powder coat, weld operations, and quality, on a variety of issues. • Be directly responsible for the production flow. • Complete and submit organizational paperwork, including time-off requests, team member evaluations, corrective actions, and various reports and checklists. • Participate in quarterly team member reviews and evaluations. • Participate in any disciplinary actions as needed. Requirements: • Previous experience in a similar role within a distribution or logistics environment. • Bilingual in English and Spanish, both spoken and written. • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. • Familiarity with shipping management software and inventory systems. • Ability to work as part of a team and coordinate with different departments. • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize urgent orders. **Pay Details:** $18.50 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
