Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Shipping & Receiving professional who will be responsible for the light operation of tow motors and forklifts, packaging finished products for shipping, and building crates using hand/power tools. The role also involves utilizing overhead and JIBB cranes, performing rigging of equipment, and maintaining a clean shipping area. Proficiency with computers and familiarity with Excel are essential.
ResponsibilitiesOperate tow motors and forklifts safely.Package finished products for shipping.Build crates for product shipment using pneumatic nail guns and staple guns.Utilize overhead cranes and JIBB cranes for lifting.Perform rigging to ensure equipment stability for transport.Band crates for shipping.Adhere to safety rules, including the use of horns and seat belts.Maintain cleanliness in the shipping area.Document shipping activities accurately.Essential SkillsMinimum 2 years of experience in Shipping/Receiving or Forklift/Tow motors.Forklift, crane, and rigging experience.Proficiency with computers and familiarity with Excel.Additional Skills & QualificationsInventory management experience is a plus.Mechanical aptitude.Experience with pneumatic nail guns and staple guns.Work Environment
This position is on the 1st shift (6am-2:00pm) with the potential for up to 10 hours of overtime. Work in a 150,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Canton, Ohio. Join a team of 150 employees on the manufacturing floor and 250 employees in total. The dress code includes jeans, a shirt, steel toe boots, safety glasses, and ear plugs.
