Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Summary
The Shipping/Receiving Clerk will manage shipping and receiving for trucks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Receive and inspect customers incoming meters and equipment
· Arrange for pickup and delivery of freight
· Tag all meters and related equipment with a CEESI job number
· Scan paperwork into the Meter Tracking System
· Deliver meters and related equipment to the appropriate test area
· Retrieve meters and prepare them for return shipment to the client or their assigns
· Pack, seal, label, or affix labels to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter.
· Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped
· Operates forklift/pallet jack to move product and pallets

Education and/or Experience
High School diploma with a minimum of two years related experience and/or training in Domestic Shipping and Receiving; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience in international shipping, receiving and documentation is preferred.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common instructions and documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the industry.
Math Ability:
Basic math skills for addition, subtraction, division, multiplication. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, email, and shipping database.
Certificates and Licenses:
Forklift certification, or ability to become certified.

Qualifications
Education:High School Diploma or equivalent.
Skills, Abilities and Experience:
+ Proficiency with MS Office Suite including Excel, Word and Outlook
+ High level of attention to detail on paperwork and equipment
+ Ability to continually self-evaluate the accuracy of your work
+ Ability to focus on routine tasks in a busy environment
+ Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions
+ Demonstrated mechanical aptitude to recognize different types of equipment
+ Demonstrated ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs. as often as 60 times per day
+ Demonstrated ability to work in a warehouse environment without heat or air conditioning
+ Demonstrated sense of urgency
+ Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment
+ Demonstrated ability to realize the importance of the accuracy of seemingly routine tasks and how the successful completion of these tasks is vital to customer satisfaction
+ Willingness to work occasional overtime is required
+ Experience using UPS and FedEx shipping software programs is desirable
+ Forklift certification is desirable
+ Experience with database management with programs such as Sharepoint or MudCats is desirable
