We are currently seeking an experiencedShipping and Receiving Technician in Roselle, IL Job Title: Shipping/Receiving Clerk Summary: Contacts vendors and shippers to ensure that merchandise, supplies, and equipment are forwarded on specified shipping date by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. · Contacts vendor by mail, phone, or visit to verify shipment of goods on specified date. · Communicates with transportation companies to preclude delays in transit. · Arranges for distribution of materials upon arrival. · Contacts vendors to requisition materials. · Inspects products for quality and quantity to ensure adherence to specifications. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Math Ability: Basic math skills for addition, subtraction, division, multiplication. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, email and Accounting software. Certificates and Licenses: None required.
