Operating from numerous manufacturing plants, warehouses, monument production facilities, a casket manufacturing plant, we are dedicated to delivering unparalleled products and services.This position will ensure the shipping and/or receiving docks are organized, while managing, maintaining, and ensuring correct inventory. This position is also responsible to ensure all shipped and/or received burial caskets, and related products or items that are loaded/unloaded meet quality expectations.
• Responsible for general personal appearance, upkeep of all equipment, and facilities. This includes general housekeeping of the facility; ie sweeping, emptying trash, etc.
• Organize trailers according to layout given, have the ability to recognize, by sight, the different casket models and variations, understand the operation of handheld scanners for inventory purposes.
• Follow delivery schedule set by the warehouse manager and deliver caskets ensure caskets required for the day’s shipments are correctly labeled and the paperwork is complete and accurate.
• Unload & receive casket replenishment inventory trucks/trailers from suppliers.
• Consider safety first and comply with PPE requirements.
• Complete all necessary and required training in a timely manner as assigned.
• Other misc. duties as assigned by the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor
• High School, GED, or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in working in a warehouse setting.
• Experience in the funeral services industry is a plus.
