**Job Title: Shipping/Receiving Associate**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping/Receiving Associate to join our dynamic team. This role involves packaging and labeling products, preparing skids for shipment, and handling both domestic and international shipping. You will play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our shipping operations.
**Responsibilities**
+ Package and label products for shipping.
+ Prepare skids of products for shipment.
+ Prepare products for domestic and international shipping.
+ Pull orders and prepare skids.
+ Verify the accuracy of products selected and labels before shipping.
+ Select orders primarily by hand and move them with electric pallet jacks and sit-down forklifts.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficient in forklift operation.
+ Experience with inventory management.
+ Skilled in packaging, shipping, and receiving.
+ Knowledge of logistics.
+ Experience with loading and order picking/packing.
+ Ability to operate electric pallet jacks.
+ At least 1 year of experience in shipping for a manufacturing or distribution center.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience handling domestic and international shipments, working with LTL carriers, UPS, and FedEx.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
+ Strong attention to detail and basic math skills.
+ Experience with Windows-based shipping systems and Excel.
+ Ability to work independently.
+ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
+ Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
+ Accountability and dependability with regards to attendance.
+ Ability to operate machinery with minimal supervision.
+ Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

**Work Environment**
The work environment includes a strong smell of ink in the facility and is primarily in the loading dock area. The shift is from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential early starts at 7:30 AM and late finishes at 5:30 PM. Unplanned overtime may be required. The role involves being on your feet 95% of the day.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, Virginia.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
