**Job Title: Shipping/Receiving Clerk - 2nd shift**
**Job Description**
This entry-level role is completely trainable and involves pulling and packing orders, learning part locations in the warehouse, understanding the labeling system, and using an ERP system and UPS portal.
**Responsibilities**
+ Receive and review shipping and receiving orders to verify accuracy.
+ Prepare shipments by assembling, packing, and labeling boxes, crates, or pallets with appropriate packaging materials.
+ Ensure products are packaged to prevent damage during transit.
+ Process shipping and receiving documentation.
**Essential Skills**
+ 1-3 years of experience in shipping/receiving or logistics, preferably in a manufacturing or electrical environment.
+ Proficiency with shipping and receiving software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
+ Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
+ Experience with inventory control, data entry, packaging, labeling, inspection of parts, packing, and assembling.
+ Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Ability to lift and move heavy boxes (up to 75 lbs).
+ Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.

**Work Environment**
You will be working in a small team of three, where everyone gets along well and enjoys a laid-back atmosphere. The dress code is casual, allowing jeans and sneakers. The work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime offered at night or on weekends. The work involves exposure to noise, chemicals, and machinery typical of a manufacturing facility. Daily tasks may vary from handling small boxes to building entire pallets, with priority given to urgent shipments.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Centerbrook, Connecticut.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
