Position Responsibilities: Loads and unloads materials shipped to and from interplant and outside facilities. Verify the accuracy of any transactions and compare it to what was actually shipped, including physical inspection of goods to validate condition Operate manual and power material handling equipment to retrieve, put away and replenish materials throughout the facility and load onto transportation vehicles Utilize Warehouse management systems to document and process shipping and receiving orders Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy and stock control as required. Troubleshoot and communicate problems to ensure timely turnover in shipping/sortation area Complete a Pre-Shift Checklist on all powered material handling equipment including battery water, charging, and cleaning. Maintain a clean work environment, including sorting pallets, wrapping stacked cardboard on pallets, and communicating any quality changes Follow all safety and good manufacturing practices (GMP’s). Perform various other duties as assigned including assisting with the training of new employees. Qualifications Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent Experience: Some experience in general warehouse environment preferred Proficient computer skills and ability to navigate Basic Microsoft Windows Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook) Forktruck certification mandatory after 90 days Effective communication skills and demonstrated knowledge of English, reading and writing. Must obtain a Powered Material Handling Equipment (PMHE) License Mechanical Aptitude Medium physical effort required - Lifting 50 lbs. maximum and frequently lifting and carry up to 35 lbs. Ability to stand for several hours daily. Problem-solving ability Attention to detail The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $18.75/hour to $32.75/hour. Exact hourly rate depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range many vary based on geographic location. In addition to hourly rate, this position may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
