Supply Chain Manager
Your role and responsibilitiesAbility to understand and follow all ABB safety policies, safety training and hazard communication information. This includes but is not limited to wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) such as: hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, cut resistant gloves, and safety sleeves when requiredLift and or carry up to 50 poundsMust be self-motivated and at times work independently and be able to effectively communicate information to supervisors, managers, other plants, freight companies, tool room personnel and coworkersFrequently grip with hands, turn, push, and bend, along with occasional reaching above shoulder level, and pullingAbility to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and to keep up with the demanding pace of production in a hot and cold environmentPossess the dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate various forklifts and other equipment to complete a variety of complex task. Equipment includes but is not limited to: electric chain hoists, forklift, Bigfoot, electric and manual pallet jacks, and controls with buttonsAbility to inspect and ensure equipment is in proper working order prior to operatingAbility to obtain forklift operator licenseAbility to load trucks legally in compliance with Federal regulations, by calculating weights accuratelyAbility to comprehend and follow both written and verbal instructions. Ability to read, write and use a computer. Understand production orders, schedules, special instructions related to your task, complete inspections as required, fill out manifest and bills of ladings accuratelyAbility to fill in for production forklift driver, as neededAbility to maintain regular work attendance, including arriving at work on time and remaining at work until the end of the schedules work dayAbility to work daily and weekend overtime, including overtime on short notice
Qualifications for the roleWill be required to be certified on Forklift every 3 yearsMust be able to work different shifts, as needed for overtimeMust have good communication skillsShould have basic knowledge of computersMust be able to lift 50 poundsCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
