Sends shipments and creates paperwork for outgoing deliveries.Inspects shipments to ensure they are no damages.Verifies shipments per order requirements.May send shipments outside the US contiguous border.Investigates problems and resolves discrepancies.Labels shipments prior to loading.Trains new teammates in shipping department.Other duties may be assigned.MINIMUM SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED.4 or more years’ experience in a shipping department.2 or more years’ experience in a distribution environment.Experience shipping outside the US contiguous border is preferred.Strong math and documentation abilities.Solid organizational skills.Ability to investigate and resolve problemsWORKING CONDITIONS:
The environment encompasses all areas of a Distribution Center, Transportation Department, or Transportation Shop.This position may require work in hot and cold temperature extremes and exposure to dust, dirt, fumes, noise, potentially harmful chemicals, solvents and components, and working in close to proximity to otherteammates.Candidates may be subject to a background check and drug screen, in accordance with applicable laws.
