RLS is looking for a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to be responsible for overseeing the movement of goods in and out of our facility. This role plays a key part in the logistics and supply chain management process at RLS.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping Coordination:
Manage outbound shipments to ensure that products are delivered on time and in good condition.Prepare shipping labels, invoices, and other required documentation.Schedule and coordinate deliveries with carriers.Track shipments and provide updates to relevant stakeholders.Oversee the loading of trucks and containers for outgoing shipments.Receiving Coordination:
Receive incoming goods, verify quantities, and inspect for damage.Record and log incoming shipments in the inventory management system.Communicate with suppliers or vendors regarding shipment issues or discrepancies.Ensure proper storage of goods upon receipt.Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing products.Conduct regular inventory checks and reconciliations.Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory levels.Safety and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during the shipping and receiving process.Monitor the handling of hazardous materials, if applicable, to ensure safe procedures are followed.Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare shipping and receiving reports.Maintain organized records of shipments, receipts, and inventory data.Coordinate with the finance team to resolve billing discrepancies related to shipments.Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field.Experience: Previous experience in shipping and or receiving, is required.Technical Skills: Familiarity with inventory management software, barcode scanning systems, and basic office software (Excel, etc.).Attention to Detail: Ability to identify discrepancies in shipping or receiving documentation and inventory.Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with vendors, carriers, and internal teams.Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve issues related to delayed shipments, damaged goods, or inventory discrepancies.Physical Stamina: The job may involve lifting and moving goods, so physical strength and stamina are often required.Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.
