Shipping/Receiving Material Handler | Now Hiring | Burley, ID 

 

Compensation:

Starting pay rate of $23.00/hourEligible for annual & skill-based wage increases

Responsibilities Unload all inbound shipments – boxes, bags, miscellaneous parts and supplies while ensuring all identified safety procedures are followedVerify all packaging lists by counting items received, stamp packing list received, date, sign and enter into SAPPlace cartons/bags in proper location in the warehouse and stock carton staging area as neededMaintain inventory storage area Perform periodic cycle counts of cartons, bags and finished goods as scheduled or requestedPull orders according to pick lists as assigned by SupervisorPrepare labels and apply per instructions on packing listsCheck pulled orders for accuracy (item, number of cases, and label) against pick listsLoad and unload trucks with fork/clamp truck and hand stack where applicablePrepare shipments via UPS, Federal Express and common carrier with proper packing lists attachedKey role in “return to vendor” process of all parts and production suppliesStrap scrap cardboard as time allowsMust be flexible and team oriented, which includes performing other activities as determined and assigned by the Business ManagerResponsible for physical inventoriesInsures Certificates of Conformance and Certificates of Analyst and responsible for tracking down inaccuraciesMakes production supply inventory adjustments in SAPPerform daily housekeeping requirements Responsible for following all Food Safety/Food Quality programs in accordance with customer specifications (as dictated by the standards of BRC) and reporting any issues to management Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent experienceBasic math and computer skillsForklift certificationAbility to safely operate a forkliftGood oral and written communication skillsStrong organizational skillsAbility to accurately control inventory throughout the entire processPretest ability to lift 50 lbsMust understand Warehouse Management System and processes

Must be able to:

Work 12 hour shifts, standing and walking for extended periodsClimb approved ladders and moveable stepsHeed safety warnings, devices and alarms
