Job Description

General Summary
Under general supervision distributes equipment, materials and supplies received.
Responsibilities:
+ Events: process requests, deliver and pick-up tables and chairs as requested.
+ Surplus property: pick up as needed from campus; coordinate online auction.
+ Work with purchasing and facilities on project cleanups and surplus pickups.
+ Coordinates all service requests across campus for tables and chairs, surplus pickup and office moves through the EMS system.
+ Freight: process all incoming and outgoing freight for the university and delivering to departments using appropriate delivery equipment and responds to customer related customer inquiries.
+ Recycling: swap bins out as requested.
+ Work with vendor on as needed basis and act as liaison between vendor and campus
+ Process carrier invoices including FedEx and UPS and bill charges back to the departments.
+ File freight claims on an as needed basis.
+ Ship out packages as needed through couriers.
+ Assist with student packages as necessary.

Necessary Qualifications:
+ High school graduate or any equivalent combination of education and experience
+ Four (4) years of related experience in shipping and receiving
+ Excellent organizational and administrative skills
+ Strong computer skills
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree.
+ Six (6) years of related experience.
+ Forklift experience.
