Shipping & Receving Supervisor

The Fulfillment Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the general operations of their shift and its associates. The individual in this position will use their knowledge, expertise and leadership skills to maintain and develop productivity, efficiency, safety and employee morale.

Essential Duties:

Interviews, trains, and assigns responsibilities to direct reports. Oversee the daily workflow, schedules, and assignments of the fulfillment operation. Conducts performance evaluations that are accurate, timely and constructive. Handles coaching and discipline of direct reports in accordance with company policy. Oversees and evaluates all activities of the fulfillment department and direct reports, ensuring safe and efficient picking, packing, palletizing, checking and shipping. Conducts daily inspections, ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and internal laws, regulations, and policies. Monitors freight movement using various computer software applications. Consults with the production planning team to plan deliveries for the next day. Teaches and implements safe lifting and loading techniques and regularly evaluates employee’s compliance. Assesses efficiency and performance of dispatch and distribution activities; identifies and recommends improvements to shift, department, and facility. Ensures product handling and delivery practices meet customer expectations, and daily, weekly, monthly, and annual business objectives. Performs other related duties as assigned.


Requirements:

Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong understanding of applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements and other related safety policies and best practices. Proficient with Google Suite or related software to monitor and maintain records and inventory. High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous supervisory experience preferred.


Physical Requirements:

Ability to reach above shoulder level, climb, balance, kneel, bend over, etc. Ability to use hands and fingers to assemble small objects, boxes, etc. Be physically active for 8 hours without becoming fatigued or out of breath. Stand for 8 hours a day. Frequently lift and or move 40+ pounds Occasionally lift and or move 75+ pounds Frequently push 300-400 lbs. on a rolling cart, sometimes at an incline.

 Compensation Range: $60,800.00 - $91,200.00, plus bonus.
