Job Title: Shipping Associate

Job Description

We are seeking a Shipping Associate with experience in shipping and receiving, and strong documentation skills. The ideal candidate will be adept at using a tape measure to a 16th and capable of accurately documenting part numbers and weight measurements. This role involves inspecting incoming parts, assemblies, accessories, and materials for conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments and devices.

ResponsibilitiesInspect incoming parts, assemblies, accessories, and materials for conformance to specifications.Examine items for defects in materials, workmanship, and damage during manufacture or transit.Compare quantity and part numbers with procurement data to ensure completeness and accuracy of orders.Inspect and measure items for dimensional accuracy, fit, alignment, and functional operation.Approve or reject items and record inspection information.Inspect final and production line parts, materials, and assemblies as required.Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.Document actions by completing production and quality forms.Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.Essential SkillsExperience in shipping and receivingProficient documentation skillsAbility to use a tape measure to a 16thExcellent communication skillsAttention to detailAbility to work quickly and accuratelyAbility to work and communicate as part of a teamExceptional problem-solving abilityAdaptability to a constantly changing work environmentAbility to work with Made to Manage (ERP Software)

Work Environment

Work in a metal shop manufacturing company with a team of 25 people. Our large warehouse building features individual work cells dedicated to welding, painting, and fabrication. The standard work hours are Monday to Friday, from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
