Shipping Supervisor

Join us and we can make a difference together. **About this role** Oversee the execution of the shipping plan, supervise daily flow and loading of trucks, ensure work is done following all safety regulations, ensure that all equipment in maintained properly and keep records accordingly. This role requires availability to work long hours and weekends when necessary. **Key Responsibilities:** + Coordinate daily flow and loading of trucks for yard and shipping bay in the most efficient way + Provide timely and accurate information to Logistics Supervisor and Shipping Manager as needed + Communicate with production to have a good understanding of production completion dates + Plan cross-training of shipping technicians to ensure robust coverage of all functions + Plan preventive maintenance of shipping equipment with corresponding suppliers or in-house maintenance department. Keep records of completed maintenance + Ensure that all required tools and scanners are available to technicians and in good condition + Develop cross-training plans for shipping technicians, train and coach staff in standard procedures and best practices to help identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement solutions. + Provide feedback and guidance to shipping technicians + Work with other functional areas such as production, quality and shipping planning in order to resolve issues in a timely manner + Act as 5S champion for all shipping areas + Collect information necessary to conduct root cause analysis and problem solving + Work with SAP and IT teams to resolve problems with orders and or users + Support Shipping Manager in planning and execution of quarterly cycle count and annual physical inventory of finished goods and accessories **Requirement Qualifications:** + High School Diploma or GED + 2+ years experience in transportation or shipping environments + 2+ years of experience in receiving/shipping environments + 2 + years of experience supervising small groups **Preferred Qualifications:** + Ability to manage changes in conditions and to make decisions accordingly + Working knowledge of US geography + Good communication skills + Ability to work in cross-functional teams + Working experience with SAP + Familiar with MS Office products + Ability to operate Yard truck, forklift, all types of cranes, and other shipping equipment + Availability to work long hours and weekends when necessary + Customer and goal oriented \#LI-Onsite RSRCAR **Carrier is An Equal** **Opportunity/Affirmative** **Action Employer.
