Job Title: Shipping Receiving/Purchasing Clerk Location: O'Fallon, MO Pay: $20-$25 hourly (depends on experience) Job Summary We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipping Receiving/Purchasing Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for shipping and receiving products, as well as purchasing goods and services to support our manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities Shipping & Receiving: Maintain accurate records of shipping reports, Bill of Ladings, packing lists, labels, and purchase orders. Track parts throughout outside processing operations. Monitor shipments and deliveries, following up as needed. Ensure accurate records for all products entering and leaving the plant. Purchasing: Create and process purchase orders from Bills of Materials (BOM) or requisitions. Conduct market research to find cost-effective solutions. Monitor purchases and supplies, ensuring timely delivery. Negotiate pricing with vendors and on service contracts. Build a network of reliable suppliers and conduct annual supplier evaluations. Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards. Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and support inventory control as needed. Identify opportunities for improvements and cost savings. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred. 2-4 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong computer, typing, and organizational skills with a high attention to detail. Ability to interpret production reports, purchasing requisitions, packing lists, and purchase orders. Proficient in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional phone and email etiquette. Knowledge of Bills of Materials and back-flushing importance. Ability to prioritize and adjust workload based on business needs. Physical Demands Ability to talk, hear, see, and use hands/fingers to handle or feel. Must be able to sit for long periods, occasionally walk, bend, stoop, or kneel. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with assistance if necessary. Work Environment This position is based in a production environment with occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles. Noise levels can be high, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required when in the plant.
