**Aerotek is building its personnel roster for upcoming work on US Navy vessels at the Vigor Shipyard in Seattle.** **If you would like to represent the the number 1 provider of shipyard personnel in Washington State, consider applying to this post.** **Shift is 6am - 2:30pm Monday - Friday Pay is $22/hr** **Description:** This is a general labor/firewatch position at Vigor shipyard in seattle. The work will be perfomed on USS Navy Destroyers. The point of this position is to assist trades personnel in performing maintenance and repair of the vessels. This will include the following: + Removing flammabale objects from the area where hotwork is being performed, standing watch to make sure there are no fires + Heavy lifting, setting up and cleaning up work sites, moving materials and tools around + may involve cable pulling, banding cable, needle gunning, chiseling, grinding, containment, and trades asssistance + Will at times be working at heights, climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, working in all weather conditions. **Skills:** general labor, hand tools, power tools, Firewatch, Shipyard, Ship repair, Cable puller **Additional Skills & Qualifications:** Need to be elligble to obtain a DBIDS/Green badge to work on US Navy ships Need to be able to lift 50lbs consistently Need to be able to wear a respirator while working at times Need to be able to climb up ladders Need to be able to work at heights or in confined spaces **Experience Level:** Entry Level **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
