Job Summary:
Establish and manage, in coordination with OFVEMU (Offshore Fleet Maintenance and Updating) for the ABSER vessel CAPEX project (i.e. class renewal or upgrade): a progress planning and control system. The established system will provide both the status and expected finish date of the project, integrating the main OEM and shipyard detailed schedule. a cost control system. The established system will provide both the status and expected economic forecast of the project. Coordinating with other project team members to ensure the project objectives are met and the project risks are mitigated, by communicating effectively, resolving issues, and providing feedback and recommendations.
Job Responsibilities: During the initial phase of the project, ensure the development of the project schedule and relative weight table according to the project needs. During the project execution, update the project schedule and “S” curves, with special focus on critical equipment and shipyard activities, evaluating forecast dates and monitoring any progress and productivity deviation compared with the baseline schedule, including the corrective actions taken by the project manager. Produce weekly/monthly reports according to established Project reporting requirements highlighting both with narrative and numerical figures the status of the different phases of the project focusing on deviation between planned and actual progress. During the initial phase of the project, ensure the recasting of Original Budget (OB) by the Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS), currencies and company chart of accounts. From project start, to monitor the requisitioning process to ensure -the correct utilization of CBS and accounting codes -comparison with OB, highlighting to project team any deviation. Qualifications & Skill Requirements: Ten (10) years of seniority level. Must have Shipyard Experience and CAPEX knowledge. Bachelor’s degree in engineering. Previous experience in CAPEX projects about investments / maintenance of naval vessels. Deep knowledge of the English language Availability for medium-term trips both in Italy and abroad. Strong result orientation, ability to work in a team, both verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of project management principles. Knowledge of specific scheduling software (Primavera P6 / Microsoft Project) and ERP (SAP).
