Job Description
We are seeking a skilled welder proficient in stick, MIG, and some TIG welding on various ornamental metals, railings, stainless steel, and guardrails. The ideal candidate must be capable of setting up their own machine for each welding process and passing a 3g and 4g weld test. Additionally, the welder should be able to read prints and fabrication drawings, use power tools such as grinders, drills, chop saws, and skill saws, and fabricate in the field.
ResponsibilitiesPerform stick, MIG, and TIG welding on ornamental metals, railings, stainless steel, and guardrails.Set up welding machines for each process.Pass 3g and 4g weld tests.Read and interpret prints and fabrication drawings.Utilize power tools including grinders, drills, chop saws, and skill saws.Fabricate components in the field.Weld on various surfaces including plate, tube, and pipes.Work on new construction sites, with a workweek consisting of 30% welding and 70% installing.Essential SkillsProficiency in stick welding, MIG welding, and TIG welding.Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.Experience with architectural and ornamental metalwork.Capability to work with materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, and bronze.Ability to operate power tools such as grinders, drills, chop saws, and skill saws.Knowledge of welding various components including glass stair rails, guardrails, handrails, column enclosures, escalator and power-walkway cladding, elevator interiors, interior wall panels, beam and soffit cladding.Experience in setting up and operating welding machines.Additional Skills & QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of field welding experience.Valid driver’s license and access to a car.Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
