**Job Title: Shop Foreman** **Job Description** + The Shop Foreman will be responsible for driving the production of structural steel and miscellaneous projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and profitability. + These projects can range from structural beams to stairways and handrails to miscellaneous orders such as hoppers, tanks, enclosures, panels, etc. + This is a working foreman position with responsibilities in welding, fabrication, quality control, and other needed areas. + Additional duties include scheduling, performance monitoring and reviews, disciplinary action, and driving productivity. + Strong management skills, including written and verbal communication and conflict resolution, are very important. **Hard Skills** + Welding and fabrication of structural steel and miscellaneous metals, such as stairs, rails, catwalks + Supervising a team of at least 10 shop workers, including machine operators, welders, fabricators, quality control and general laborers + Management of schedules, budgets, performance, etc. **Soft Skills** + Strong written and verbal communication + Conflict resolution + Team management **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in Modesto, California. **Work Environment** Metal fabrication shop with open-air doors. Temperatures will be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Dirty/dusty, loud industrial manufacturing environment.
