Field Mechanic

Position Overview:

The Shop Equipment Manager/Shop Foreman is responsible for overseeing and delegating fleet shop operations personnel, and following company and government policies and procedures.  The Shop Equipment Manager/Shop Foreman utilizes a strong understanding of DOT standards, ANSI /Cal OSHA (depending on region) requirements related to cranes/aerial equipment, and maintains a working knowledge of equipment operations, while promoting safety through safe practices and team building.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversees operations personnel, while monitoring time and management resourcesReviews cost and standards of equipment repairs, and monitors parts/supplies procurementFollows and maintains company and government compliances, both ethically and legallySupport continuing technical and safety training for shop personnelAssists field operations with equipment related issuesProvides resources to assist in administrative activities including shipping and receivingUtilizes CDL to test drive and deliver equipmentWork a minimum of 40 hours a week on a regular basis, with OT if necessary What You'll Bring

General working knowledge and operation of multiple types of equipment and vehiclesAbility to work and communicate with all levels of managementAbility to multi-task, and work very well independently and in a team environmentGreat leadership and team building skillsGreat communication skillsGreat organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office, and maintenance application softwareGreat time management skillsMust possess critical thinking and above average problem-solving skills with safety precautions in mind 

Required Education and Experience

High School Diploma or Equivalent8 Years Industry Experience

Preferred Education and Experience

Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree and Experience10 Years Industry Experience What You'll Get
