**Job details**
+ As a Shop Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the shop, ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
+ You will be expected to lead by example, providing guidance and support to the team of technicians and mechanics, and ensuring that all work is completed on time and within budget.
+ Your goal will be to ensure that the shop runs smoothly and that the customers receive the best possible service.
+ You will be leading a team of 12 Tractor Mechanics.
+ The Shop Foreman plans, schedules, coordinates, and implements methods and procedures for the most efficient and economical repairs of equipment in an error-free manner; inspect and measure performance of maintenance personnel to improve overall Service Center operations.
**Job duties**
+ Reviews daily maintenance schedule and confers with shift personnel
+ Maintains superior internal and external customer relations, consistent with company policies
+ Assists in the training, development, and evaluation of maintenance personnel, in conjunction with Shop Manager
+ Ensures maintenance facility conforms to prescribed standards of safety and cleanliness
+ Assists Shop Manager in the investigation, reporting and initiation of corrective actions for accidents and job-related injuries
+ Is knowledgeable and has understanding and application of company safety practices including DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA rules and regulations.
+ Experience with diesel engine repairs: perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance and servicing assigned equipment between each assigned vehicle.
+ Test all repaired equipment for proper operation and quality.
+ Perform related duties as assigned.
+ Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques to repair and maintain equipment.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and managers both verbally and in writing.
+ Previous supervisory experience in a shop environment.
+ Communicate effectively with the parts department and shop manager.
+ Identifies mechanical problems.
+ Post inspection of repairs.
**Experience/Education needed**
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ 5+ years of experience in a similar role
+ Strong leadership and communication skills
+ Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
+ Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
