**Job Title: Shop Helper** **Job Description** This candidate will be fabricating and assembling metal framework of doors and windows for buildings by performing the following duties: installing hardware such as locks, lock sets, hinging, and storefront aluminum extrusions including fabrication and assembly, developing layouts and planning sequences of operations, performing layout and preparing framing, setting up and operating fabricating machines such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, radial arm saws, drill presses, mitre saws, and milling machines, sawing, hammering, and grinding work pieces to cut, bend, and straighten metal, drilling holes and fastening material together with screws. Must have the ability to safely operate basic power tools. No medical or certificates required. Client will provide PPE. **Responsibilities** + Fabricating and assembling metal framework of doors and windows. + Installing hardware such as locks, lock sets, hinging, and storefront aluminum extrusions. + Developing layouts and planning sequences of operations. + Performing layout and preparing framing. + Setting up and operating fabricating machines including brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, radial arm saws, drill presses, mitre saws, and milling machines. + Sawing, hammering, and grinding work pieces to cut, bend, and straighten metal. + Drilling holes and fastening material together with screws. + Safely operating basic power tools. **Essential Skills** + Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings and tape measure. + Prior carpentry and/or metal assembly experience. + Ability to apply quality control standards to product. + Must be able to meet the attendance requirements. + Ability to work professionally with others. + Able to follow instructions. **Why Work Here?** Join a team that values professional development and offers a supportive work environment.
