**Job Title: Shop Helper** **Job Description** This is a general shop helper position in a sheet metal shop. The role involves working as a floater, slowly being trained in all departments. Responsibilities include operating timesaver and deburring parts, setting up and operating Trumpf Punch Press, Press Brake, and Laser machines, as well as cleaning the machines and shop. **Responsibilities** + Operate timesaver and deburr parts + Set up and operate Trumpf Punch Press, Press Brake, and Laser machines + Clean machines and shop + Assist in various departments as needed + Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment **Essential Skills** + 6+ months of manufacturing experience + Strong desire to work in the sheet metal industry + Ability to lift 50-60 lbs regularly **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Recent graduates from any sheet metal Tech School preferred + Experience with sheet metal fabrication, general labor, hand tools, assembly, grinding, power tools, blueprint reading, deburring, welding, press brake, tube bender, laser, finishing, grinding, CNC turret, CNC laser **Why Work Here?** This is a union job with competitive pay and a very clean fabrication shop equipped with brand new, high-tech Trumpf machines. It is a union shop with most employees joining the union after 90 days. The shop is very clean and bright, with state-of-the-art equipment and the latest Trumpf machines. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
