We are seeking a **Shop Lead** to support our aftermarket repair and upgrade business in our Chicago PRO Services shop located in Bedford Park, IL. Building on centuries of pump design experience, PRO Services provides an array of services focuses on reducing equipment total cost of ownership and increasing plant output, including condition monitoring, predictive maintenance contracts, field service, engineered upgrades, inventory management, and overhauls for pumps and other rotating equipment. **Essential Responsibilities** May include: + Review all Disassembly and Assembly Forms are complete and Accurate + Create and review work scope with site engineer + Work with purchaser to maintain needed shop supplies + Ensure welding procedures are provided to welder + Ensure balance reports, final inspection and testing forms are completed + Ensure schedule is followed to maintain delivery dates + Help Disassemble and Assemble pumps + Customer facing for pump install and start up support (Local customers) **Position Requirements** Knowledge & Skills: + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse client group. + Ability to troubleshoot in-depth issues with rotating equipment. + Ability to read, analyze, and interpret pump drawings. + Ability to anticipate and solve practical problems and resolve issues. + Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and within a team. + Ability to effectively communicate ideas and properly describe problems and solutions. + Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks, time management, and prioritization skills. + Well-developed planning, organization, analytical, and decision-making skills + Ability to produce clear, timely, and concise documentation and have well-developed problem-solving skills. + Ability to apply good judgment, strong work ethic, and integrity on the job. + Proficient in relevant PC skills. Experience: + 5+ years in a lead and/or supervisory role + Extensive experience with rotating equipment, pump mechanics, and hydraulics + Experience repairing rotating equipment and repairing techniques Education/Certification: + High School Diploma or GED Equivalent + Vocational/ Technical Degree preferred **Work Environment:** While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch; talk or hear; and smell.
