Job Summary: The Shop Manager of Mechanical Troubleshooting supervises the day-to-day operations of a repair facility specializing in diagnosing and resolving sophisticated mechanical issues, managing a team of technicians, ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining customer satisfaction, and upholding safety standards while prioritizing accurate troubleshooting and timely repairs. Key Responsibilities: * Hire, train, and supervise a team of skilled mechanical technicians, assigning tasks based on expertise and workload * Supervise the daily operations of the shop, including scheduling repairs, assigning technicians to jobs, and monitoring repair progress * Address customer concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive repair experience * Conduct regular quality checks on completed repairs to identify potential issues and address them proactively * Implement strict safety protocols within the shop, ensuring technicians adhere to proper safety procedures and use of protective equipment Preferred Qualifications: * 5+ years as a shop manager; preferably with a focus on mechanical troubleshooting * Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and ability to learn maintenance software for daily usage * Validated expertise in mechanical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair across diverse machinery and systems * Experience managing a team of technicians, providing effective coaching, and fostering a positive work environment * Excellent verbal and written communication to interact efficiently with customers and technicians * Strong analytical abilities to identify root causes of mechanical issues and develop efficient repair solutions * Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and building strong customer relationships Associates at Canteen are offered many fantastic benefits.
