**Job Posting: Shop Mechanic** **Job Summary** Are you a skilled mechanic with a knack for disassembling and reassembling electric motors and pumps? We are looking for a dedicated Shop Mechanic to join our team! This role requires a strong mechanical experience and some electrical knowledge. You'll test electro-mechanical rotating equipment to troubleshoot and resolve issues using various AC/DC methods. **Key Responsibilities** + Disassemble, Clean, Repair, and Reassemble: Work on electric motors and pumps. + Test Equipment: Identify and troubleshoot issues using AC/DC methods on electro-mechanical rotating equipment. + Replace or Repair Parts: Fix mechanical or electrical components such as brushes, bearings, motor leads, and more. + Operate Specialized Equipment: Use test panels, surge testers, core loss testers, burnout ovens, cut-off saws, grinders, drills, cranes, forklift trucks, torches, dip tanks, and VPI systems. + Work with Various Pumps: Handle water pumps, sewer pumps, and other equipment in your department. **Essential Skills** + Strong mechanical experience. + Some electrical knowledge. + Experience with AC/DC motor troubleshooting and repair. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics. + Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 2+ years of experience with industrial motors or automotive/diesel transmissions and motors. + Ability to understand and retain various skill-related training and operational and safety procedures. + Preferred: Trade school, vocational/technical school, military, or on-the-job technician training and/or certifications. **Why Work Here?** + Join a supportive and growing company that offers a range of benefits, including: + Medical, dental, and vision plans + Employer-paid life insurance + Voluntary life and disability insurance + Accident and critical illness coverage + Identity theft protection + Legal plans + EAP programs + HSA/FSA + 401(K) employer match + Vacation pay, sick pay, and 8 paid holidays **Ready to put your skills to work in a dynamic and rewarding environment?
