How You Will Make an Impact: As a Shop Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. The ideal candidate will have experience in repairing and maintaining a wide variety of vehicles or machinery, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: + Diagnose mechanical issues and identify root causes of vehicle or machinery + Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, machinery, and equipment, including engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems. + Conduct thorough inspections of machines and vehicles to ensure they meet safety standards and are operating + Replace worn or damaged parts, such as belts, filters, batteries, and spark + Use a variety of hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and machinery to complete repairs and maintenance tasks. + Document all maintenance and repair work, including parts used, labor hours, and recommendations for future + Collaborate with the shop team and other departments to meet deadlines and ensure all vehicles or machinery are operational and ready for use. + Stay up to date on industry trends, new repair techniques, and equipment to continuously improve knowledge and skills. + Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and + Follow all safety procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to company safety standards. + Provide estimates for repair costs and time frames when needed, and communicate effectively with supervisors or customers regarding repair status.
