**Job Title: Shop Mechanic** **Shift: 1st shift Monday-Friday 6AM-2:30PM** **Pay Rate: $20-$25/hour** **Job Description** The Shop Mechanic will be responsible for disassembling, cleaning, repairing, and reassembling electric motors and pumps. The role requires strong mechanical experience and some electrical knowledge is preferred. You will test electro-mechanical rotating equipment to troubleshoot known or suspected problems using various methods (AC/DC). **Responsibilities** + Disassemble electric motors and pumps for cleaning and repair. + Reassemble motors and pumps after repairs. + Perform grinding tasks as needed. + Troubleshoot and test electro-mechanical rotating equipment using AC/DC methods. + Replace or repair worn or defective mechanical or electrical parts and assemblies, including but not limited to brushes, bearings, brush holders, motor leads, gears, seals, impellers, mechanical switches, brakes, clutches, tachometers, fans, etc. + Operate specialized repair and testing equipment such as test panels, surge testers, core loss testers, burnout ovens, cut off saws, grinders, drills, cranes, forklift trucks, torches, dip tank, and VPI systems. + Work with water pumps, sewer pumps, and other related equipment. + Report to the department supervisor and collaborate with team members. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Trade school, vocational/technical school, military, or on-the-job technician training and/or certifications. + Experience with hydraulics, mechanical systems, blueprint reading, fabrication, electrical systems, and pneumatics. **Why Work Here?** Join a growing company that offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical plans with options at no cost to the employee, telemedicine, dental, vision, employer-paid basic life AD&D insurance, voluntary life AD&D insurance, short-term and long-term disability, accident & critical illness coverage, identity theft protection, a legal plan, EAP programs, HSA/FSA, and a 401(K) employer match.
