PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Responsible for supervising shop activities pertaining to asset maintenance and scheduled repairs. Required to control parts inventory and work with operators on status of equipment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assists location manager in submitting purchase orders and maintains all parts and supplies as necessary for the maintenance shop to operate in an efficient, effective manner.
Schedules service and repair activities to ensure equipment is ready for busy season.
Ensures that repair orders and shop tickets are prepared for all work performed.
Ensures that all shop equipment is maintained for safe and efficient operation.
Records all operational data pertaining to the maintenance of a safe working environment and reports to Location Manager when necessary.
Demonstrates knowledge of and the ability to safely set up, maintain and operate sprayers, floaters, single or tandem axle trucks and other equipment to meet company and DOT standards.
Performs and records daily safety checks of assigned vehicle(s) and associated equipment by conducting pre-trip inspections, such as checking fuel and oil levels, inspecting tires, lights, and brakes.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Follows the preventative maintenance program and maintains clean equipment to present a professional appearance.
Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Normally requires a high school diploma or the equivalent thereof, and demonstrate knowledge of inventory management, mechanics, and customer service.
Demonstrated organization, planning, and problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, and deal with deadlines.

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
Must have and maintain valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
Must be able to lift 70 lbs.
Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
