This position works under general supervision and is responsible for performing work on gas compression equipment components and instruments (e.g., pumps, controllers, valves, etc.) at shop location.
Principle Responsibilities and Duties Responsible for performing work on gas compression equipment components and instruments (pumps, controllers, valves, etc.) Knows standard operating procedures relative to gas c compressor maintenance and repair. Gaining proficiency to accurately and efficiently diagnose mechanical problems. Replace and overhaul compressors, checking bearings, crankshaft, etc. Disassembles gas compressor parts and equipment. Cleans gas compressor parts and equipment. Reassembles parts (assistance may be required). Gaining engine repair proficiency. Adheres to all Company and government safety regulations. Attends required safety meetings. Other duties assigned by manager. Qualifications A high school diploma or an equivalent. Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in engine, compressor mechanics, production equipment and gas compression. Physical Requirements Must be able to work under pressure Must be able to work with the team in developing work processes for the department Ability to lift, pull, push minimum of 50lbs. Ability to kneel, bend, and stretch over and under pipeline equipment. Ability to work in all climates and temperatures to do repairs on equipment.Ability to assist the field as needed.
