**1st Shift: Shop Service Technician - Direct Hire- Union Shop!** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Shop Service Technician to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair various equipment based on customer explanations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of hydraulics and electronics repair, and will be adept at using hand tools and equipment. **Responsibilities** + Troubleshoot problems on various pieces of equipment based on customer explanation + Diagnose the problem using knowledge of hydraulics and electronics repair + Operate hand tools and equipment + Initiate ordering of necessary parts to make the repairs + Check that all functions are correct + Check for leaks and loose fittings + Check that tolerances and torque specs are correct + Test pressures and record them on the test sheet **Essential Skills** + Strong mechanical aptitude + Technical understanding of hydraulics and electrical systems + Knowledge of basic hydraulics and 12-volt electrical systems + Knowledge of wiring stop/start systems and ability to use a programmer + Heavy Equipment Mechanic experience strongly preferred + Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics + Ability to work independently + Follow-through to complete ongoing projects **Why Work Here?** We offer a $4500 sign-on bonus after 90 days of service, a tool reimbursement program, and benefits and 401(k) on the first day of employment.
