Essential Responsibilities
Lead & Direct Teams – Provide overall direction to ensure project goals, safety, and contract schedules are metCommunication & Collaboration – Effectively communicate with front-line leaders, ensuring contract requirements are successfully executedOperational Oversight – Monitor performance metrics (cost, schedule, safety, quality, environment) and guide teams to achieve themStrategic Planning – Assist in schedule development, resource allocation, and execution plans to ensure project successCoaching & Mentorship – Support front-line leaders with training and development to enhance team performanceHealth & Safety Leadership – Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with Ledcor’s HS&E standards and OH&S regulationsBudget & Financial Oversight – Review financial reports and implement strategies to achieve targetsRisk & Compliance Management – Ensure contract and regulatory compliance, including collective agreement administrationFleet & Asset Management – Assist in planning and implementing improvement strategies for effective asset utilizationQualifications
3-5 years of experience in highway maintenance, infrastructure, bridge maintenance, or construction in a supervisory roleTechnical training or trade certification in a related field is an assetExperience managing bridge and highway projects is an advantageStrong knowledge of health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) standardsProven planning, scheduling, and leadership skillsExperience with continuous improvement processes (ISO or other management systems) is preferredWork Conditions
Applicants who reside in Whitecourt, Alberta will be given preference due to the nature of the work As LHL is obligated to respond to various weather patterns, some shift work, on-call, and night shift will be requiredYou will be required to work Monday to Friday work schedule with the expectation to monitor your phone for after hours emergenciesWork will be outdoors in various weather conditions #LI-NC1#LI-OnsiteAdditional Information
