Summary – basic function of the role We are seeking a full-time Shop Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring equipment maintenance aligns with project demands and supports both client and business needs. Key responsibilities include managing stock inventory and data capture, maintaining maintenance schedules for the fleet in the North Africa region, and ensuring the workshop operates efficiently and meets global standards. You will also ensure all work follows established procedures and complies with HSSEQ requirements. This role is vital to maintaining a well-organized, safe, and effective workshop environment. Job Duties and Responsibilities Maintain housekeeping standards in the workshop, yard, and storage areas. Collaborate with charge-hands to monitor equipment needs and ensure timely availability. Communicate stock availability issues with the equipment controller and order necessary spares and consumables to maintain optimal stock levels. Work with the LEAD department and other workshops to implement and share best practices. Conduct appraisals, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to procedures among workshop personnel. Carry out and update risk assessments, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Maintain accurate and up-to-date COSHH data sheets and ensure proper training for relevant personnel, keeping records current. Oversee the maintenance and efficient operation of workshop equipment, including forklifts. Track and manage staff sickness, holiday records, and disciplinary issues in coordination with the HR department. Communicate company updates and HR announcements to workshop personnel Education and Experience Strong mechanical technician background with proven expertise. Capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Demonstrates excellent organizational and leadership abilities. Takes a pragmatic and effective approach to problem-solving.
