**Job Title: Shop Technician** **Job Description** As a Shop Technician, you will perform prep work such as sanding, grinding, and paint preparation for body repairs. You will also disassemble damaged equipment, replace parts, repair scratches and dents, and receive training in blast and paint operations. Final re-assembly and paint operations on equipment before sending it out of the shop will also be part of your responsibilities. **Responsibilities** + Perform prep work (sanding, grinding, paint prep) for body repairs. + Disassemble damaged equipment and replace with new parts. + Repair scratches and dents on hoods and other body parts. + Receive training in blast and paint operations. + Perform final re-assembly and paint operations on equipment before sending out of the shop. **Essential Skills** + Assembly + Blueprint reading + Painting + Auto body repair + Mechanic skills + Automotive painting + Body repair + Power tool usage + Sanding **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Body shop repair experience is preferred, but not required. + Industrial or automotive painting is preferred, but not required. + Must have an eye for detail to identify scratches, dents, and inconsistencies in paint on finished projects. + Experience working on vehicles or heavy equipment is required, which could be from assembly, farm, automotive shop, body shop, military, or hobby projects (racing, vehicle restoration, etc.). **Why Work Here?** This position offers a large variety of work, from agricultural equipment to boats, campers, buses, and trailers, ensuring that no two days are the same. Additionally, you will be paid hourly rather than on commission or book time. **Work Environment** Work hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday, totaling 40-45 hours per week with no weekend work. Generally, you will train with someone on a new project for a day or two until you get the hang of it, after which you will work independently.
