**Job Title: Shop Worker** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Shop Worker to join our team. You will be responsible for operating a variety of equipment and handling multiple duties including using vertical/horizontal band saws, grinders, hand grinders, surface grinders, and drill press punch. Your role will involve producing and cutting sheet metal materials to size components for the assembly departments. Additionally, you will operate a sit-down forklift and utilize tape measures and blueprints/drawings for all operations. Working with a variety of hand and power tools daily is a key part of this position. **Responsibilities** + Operate vertical/horizontal band saws, grinders, hand grinders, surface grinders, and drill press punch. + Produce and cut sheet metal material to size components for assembly departments. + Operate a sit-down forklift as needed. + Utilize tape measures and blueprints/drawings for all operations. + Work with a variety of hand and power tools daily. + Ensure all tasks are performed with attention to detail and high standards of quality. **Essential Skills** + Experience and ability to read a tape measure. + Detail-oriented with a strong mechanical aptitude. + 3+ months experience working with saws or similar type equipment (on the job or hobby/home). + Experience and ability to use hand and power tools. + Ability to read blueprints or be trained quickly. + Ability to lift 50 lbs. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Forklift experience. + Experience reading blueprints. + Experience with grinding and saw operations. **Why Work Here?** We offer excellent benefits and ample room for growth into lead or more advanced assembly positions.
