Overview William Charles Construction, a MasTec Company, is currently hiring for a Shop Yard Associate within the Springfield, IL & surrounding areas. The Shop Yard Associate is responsible for performing day-to-day activities as directed by Purchasing Manager. Responsibilities Perform day-to-day activities as directed by Purchasing Manager Assist in equipment moves. Unload, sort and store materials returned from job locations. Load job materials on truck for delivery to job locations. Dispose of obsolete materials. Transport job materials to job locations. Use of hand tools to perform carpentry work. Clean up tools returned from job locations. Maintain company buildings and grounds. OSHA 10 Hour Training provided on site. Forklift Training provided on site. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing and have good public relation skills Good organizational skills Consistently demonstrate the ability to recognize and deal with priorities Light carpentry skills Must have a valid driver’s license While performing the functions of this job, the employee will regularly work in a shop/yard environment but will also be required to work outside in all kinds of weather. Will also require lifting objects up to 75 pounds.
