Shopfitting & Retail Project Manager

Job Description

WHAT YOU’LL DO​

As a Shopfitting & Retail Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and executing shopfitting and retail construction projects, including new store openings, rebuilds, consolidations, and refurbishments. Your hands-on experience in retail construction and shopfitting will be essential in ensuring high-quality, on-time, and cost-efficient project delivery. Working closely with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors, you will play a key role in enhancing the in-store experience for our customers.

Plan and manage projects from inception to handover, conducting site surveys, value engineering, and risk assessments.Develop and secure project budgets, investment approvals, and timelines.Coordinate design, procurement, and logistics to ensure smooth project execution.Oversee on-site construction processes, ensuring deadlines, quality, and compliance standards are met.Secure necessary permits and approvals in collaboration with consultants and local authorities.Build strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and consultants to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Continuously improve planning and execution by sharing best practices and learnings with colleagues.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

​In this role, you will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless project execution. Your ability to coordinate cross-functionally will be key to delivering successful shopfitting projects.

Construction & Facility Team to align project goals and execution strategies.Internal stakeholders (such as store operations and visual teams) to ensure store functionality and brand consistency.Suppliers, contractors, and consultants to secure cost-efficient and high-quality project execution.Local authorities and permit consultants to ensure compliance with regulations.Regional and global teams to share best practices and optimize construction standards.

WHO YOU ARE​

You are a hands-on professional with a strong technical background in shopfitting or construction, combined with a practical, problem-solving mindset. You thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and can efficiently manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail.

1-3 years of hands-on experience in shopfitting, retail construction, or project management.Fluent in English and Norwegian.A craftsman’s background, diploma in building construction, or equivalent experience.Proven experience managing retail store fitouts and refurbishments.Strong budgeting, scheduling, and risk management skills.Ability to manage suppliers, contracts, and procurement processes.
